My name is Anastasiia Motina, I'm professional artist, a graduate of the Moscow Academic Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov. I'm a member of the Union of Artists and a participant in various group and personal exhibition projects. My works are in private collections in Russia and abroad. I work at the intersection of realism, magical realism and surrealism.
In my work, I explore various themes, but the main unifying factor for me is a real impression—perhaps, at first glance, from seemingly insignificant events. It can be anything: an impression of a place or people, of world art, literature, history, or nature.
The most fascinating part of the creative process is capturing that real moment—one that holds something unusual, perhaps even a unique combination of space and time, which may never be repeated but will still be felt and recognized by the viewer.
Capturing the feeling of reality, transforming it, embedding an idea both plastically and conceptually, and setting off a chain of associations in the viewer—this is the process from which my works are born.
